Sacramento is a great place to record an album because there are very minimal distractions, as compared to a city like San Francisco an hour and a half to the South. Cheap motels abound within walking distance of the studio and there are plenty of cheap restaurants and cafes to eat within historic downtown Sacramento where the studio is located. In the summer you can go to the American River, which is only a few blocks away, for a swim or to fish for salmon in the fall. Other than that, Sacto's pretty sleepy compared to NYC, LA, SF and Paris.
